§ SECTION 1 - Welcome

This blog exists to inform, explain and provoke good-faith debate about one of the defining challenges of our time — the global energy transition. It is freely available to all readers without registration, subscription or fee.

We write with a point of view. We are building a business in energy storage, and this blog provides context to that work. We are not independent analysts and we do not claim domain expertise across every topic we cover. What we do commit to is honest research, cited sources and genuine engagement with the subject.

You are welcome here whether you agree with us or not.

§ SECTION 2 - Content & Intellectual Honesty

The content on this blog represents our opinions and should be read as such. It is not professional, financial, legal or investment advice. Readers should conduct their own research and consult qualified professionals before acting on anything published here.

We research our posts and cite our sources. Where we have made an error of fact, we will correct it. If you believe something we have published is factually incorrect, we welcome notification via the contact page.

We reserve the right to update, amend or remove content at any time without notice.

§ SECTION 3 - Comments & Community

We actively welcome debate, challenge and dissent. You do not need to agree with our positions to participate. The exchange of informed, good-faith views — including views that contradict our own — makes this resource better.

What we encourage:

  • Challenge our arguments — and tell us why
  • Cite your sources when making factual claims
  • Engage with other commenters respectfully, even when you disagree strongly
  • Flag content you believe is inaccurate or misleading or otherwise open to reasoned challenge

What we do not permit:

  • Personal attacks on authors, contributors or other commenters
  • Deliberate misrepresentation of cited sources or data
  • Coordinated disruption, brigading or off-topic spam
  • Content that is defamatory, abusive, discriminatory or unlawful
  • Promotion of commercial products or services without prior agreement

We distinguish between robust disagreement (encouraged) and bad-faith disruption (not tolerated). The line is intent. Challenge the argument, not the person.

§ SECTION 4 - Moderation Policy

We moderate this community in the interest of constructive dialogue. We are transparent about how we do so.

  • Moderation decisions are made at the sole discretion of the editors
  • We reserve the right to remove any content, without prior notice and without obligation to explain our decision
  • We reserve the right to restrict or permanently block any account or commenter whose behaviour, in our view, undermines constructive dialogue — regardless of whether a specific rule has been cited
  • Repeat violations will result in permanent removal
  • Moderation decisions are final. We do not enter into correspondence regarding bans or content removal

We do not moderate on the basis of opinion. We moderate on the basis of conduct.

§ SECTION 5 - Your Content

If you post comments or contribute to any forum hosted on this site, the following applies:

  • You retain ownership of the content you submit
  • By posting, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to display, reproduce and moderate your content on this site
  • You confirm that you have the right to share anything you post
  • Do not reproduce third-party copyrighted material without permission
  • We may remove or edit content that violates these Terms, at our discretion

We link extensively to third-party sources — academic papers, news articles, reports from organisations such as the IEA, BloombergNEF, IRENA and others. These links are provided for information only.

We are not responsible for the content, accuracy or availability of external sites. A link does not constitute an endorsement of the linked organisation or its views.

This site and its content are provided on an 'as is' basis. We make no warranties, express or implied, regarding accuracy, completeness or fitness for any particular purpose. We accept no liability for any loss or damage arising from reliance on content published here.
